According to the BBC most people (Brits in this case), have read only six out of the hundred books listed below. I stole this list from Ziarah's blog En Leseblogg, but the real source is BBC's Big Read (2003).
Feel tagged if you want:
1) Mark the books you have read with bold
2) Underline the books you want to read (since ctrl - u is not working in my blog for unknown reasons, I'm rather changing the colour of the books in question)

21 out of 100 I can live with (at least I beat the "average" Brit, although Ziarah beats me by 7... Had the list consisted of a hundred Norwegian books, I can guarantee that I would have read tops 2 of them... One can of course question the election of what books to put on the list, because who decides which books one should read, or not?

Hei babe! MÅ se nærmere på den her lista, men har d litt travelt akkurat no, he he, men absolutt morsomt (spørs vel kor litterær æ blir da, he he...)
En liten hilsen til dæ inne hos mæ idag.
I agree with you - If five people were to decide which books should be considered canonical in English literature (or in any literature for that matter...) I think they'd all have different lists - common traits, of course, but not all the same. So yeah. Hard to say.
I don't think I'd have many books marked on a Norwegian list either - it would have to be a list of Young Adult literature for that to happen... :P
And no, I haven't read The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time yet - but it sounds as though I should! :)
The challenge thingy I posted about earlier wasn't this, by the way - I tagged you in my other blog. Don't remember whether I mentioned that in the comment..
